Characteristics of spandex material
Spandex (also known as polyurethane fiber) is an elastic fiber with the following characteristics:
- High elasticity: The elongation at break of spandex can reach 450%~800%, making it excellent in elasticity.
- High recovery: The elongation recovery rate is 90%, and the retraction force during rebound is less than the tensile force.
- Comfortability: Compared with rubber yarn, spandex has no sense of oppression and is comfortable to wear.
- Acid and alkali resistant, sweat resistant, and seawater resistant: It has good chemical resistance.
- Low moisture absorption and good shape retention: It is not easy to wrinkle and maintains its shape.
- Soft and smooth: It feels soft and is suitable for close-fitting wear.
In short, spandex is a high-performance fiber that pursues dynamism and convenience, and is widely used in elastic knitwear, sportswear, medical fabrics, etc.
